Put your face on any game character.
Upload a selfie, pick a character, download a drop-in mod file your loader already recognises. No Blender, no NifSkope, no three-hour tutorial.
What is Facemod?
Facemod is a browser tool that generates game-ready face-mod files from a single selfie. You upload one photo, pick a character from a supported game (Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 are live; GTA 5, Cyberpunk 2077, Sims 4, and more are on the 2026 roadmap), and download a Vortex / MO2-ready ZIP containing the exact DDS texture the engine expects — no .esp required, no Blender, no NifSkope. No local rigging. No UV-unwrap. No three-hour tutorial watching someone install Python 2.7.
Four games live. Eight on the roadmap.
Skyrim SE, Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, and Minecraft Java are fully supported. The titles below are on the 2026 pipeline — tell us which one to ship next.

The process is intentionally boring. The output isn't.
Upload a selfie
One clear, front-lit photo. JPEG, PNG, or HEIC. Phone camera is fine.
Pick a character
Scroll the roster for your game. Skyrim SE has 15 NPCs indexed, Fallout 4 has 10 companions, Stardew Valley has 12 villagers, Minecraft lets you replace your player skin. More added weekly.
Download the mod
Exact file format your loader wants. Drop it in the folder, refresh Vortex, launch the game, see yourself.
Ships in the format your loader reads.
No conversion step. No installation wizard. Just the file you actually need.
Ships DDS inside a Vortex-ready ZIP
512 × 512 DXT5 loose-file texture — no .esp required. Drop the ZIP into Vortex or MO2 and enable. Works out of the box.
Vortex / MO2 / CurseForge
Drops into your existing load order. We don't fight your manager; we ship a file it understands.
4K textures on paid plans
Free tier outputs 512 × 512 DXT5. All-Access renders at 4096 × 4096 — no upscaling artifacts, crisp at any in-game zoom level.
30-second turnaround
p95. Longer for ultra-high-poly characters (Cyberpunk netrunners max out around 75 sec).
Browser-based — no GPU
Our servers do the ONNX work. Your laptop just needs a browser and a broadband connection.
Your photo stays yours
Source image is processed in-memory, deleted post-render. No training, no aggregation, no resale.

Questions modders actually ask.
If yours isn't here, ping us on Discord — responses in under a day.
01Will this get me banned from multiplayer?
If you install a face-mod on a multiplayer-locked game (GTA Online, Fallout 76), yes — same as any other mod. The output files themselves are offline-ready, but you're responsible for knowing your game's modding policy. Single-player games (Skyrim, Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3, etc.) are fine — modding is sanctioned and Nexus Mods is the canonical distribution channel.
02Does it work on console?
Not yet. Console modding requires the platform holder's Creation Club / Mods.io pipeline. Skyrim on Xbox is on our 2026 Q4 roadmap. PlayStation is unlikely — Sony's modding stance hasn't opened up. PC-only for now; 97% of our audience is PC.
03Can I mod a character that isn't in your roster?
Not today — we index rosters per game so the output file matches the exact NPC slot. If you want a custom character (a unique follower, a one-off NPC), email a game + character name and we'll add it within a week. All-Access Annual includes custom roster requests as part of the plan.
04Which engine does Facemod run on?
ONNX Runtime on our GPU pool (A100s for most games, H100s for Cyberpunk's ultra-high-res meshes). Models are based on InsightFace variants fine-tuned per-engine. Exact model card is available under NDA for commercial/enterprise customers.
05Is the output file actually lore-friendly?
As lore-friendly as you make it. The face-mod is a texture + mesh swap; the character's quest dialogue, skills, and inventory stay intact. If you put your face on Ulfric Stormcloak, he still wants the High King dead, just with your chin. Some players care; most embrace the new continuity.
06How do I uninstall a mod?
Vortex / MO2 / CurseForge handle it cleanly — disable or remove the plugin and your load order reverts. For engines without a mod manager (some older Sims 4 installs), delete the `.package` file from Mods/ and launch the game once to rebuild its cache.
07Do you support NSFW / adult body mods?
No. Skyrim's CBBE / BodySlide ecosystem is its own thing; we ship face swaps only, fully-clothed. If you want to combine a Facemod face with a CBBE body, the files don't conflict — install both, load order matters.
